Case 42 - Part 2 - The Death of Kurt Cobain

00:0000:00

DEBATE still rages around the circumstances of Kurt Cobain’s death after the rocker was legally ruled to have killed himself. The legendary Nirvana frontman left behind his wife, child and adoring fans at the age of 27. But how did it happen and why do fans still discuss his death over twenty years on? There is a common theory among fans that Courtney Love orchestrated Kurt’s death and made it look like a suicide. Despite all this , almost all Kurt’s friends and family have supported the suicide verdict. So I wonder why people still have questions, and what evidence is there to support the murder theory????

Case 42 - Part 1 - The Death of Kurt Cobain

00:0000:00

On April 8, 1994, Kurt Cobain, the lead singer of the grunge band Nirvana, was found dead at his home in Seattle, Washington. Forensic analysis at the time determined he had killed himself on April 5. The Seattle Police Department incident report states: "Kurt Cobain was found with a shotgun across his body, had a visible head wound and there was a suicide note discovered nearby." The King County Medical Examiner noted puncture wounds on the inside of both the right and left elbow. Despite the official ruling of suicide, it has been suggested that Cobain did not actually kill himself. Tom Grant, a private investigator hired by Love to find Cobain after his departure from drug rehabilitation, believes that Cobain was murdered as the result of a conspiracy. Grant's theory has been analyzed and questioned by several books, television shows, and films. Authors and filmmakers have also attempted to explain what might have happened during Cobain's final days, and what might have led him to suicide.

Bonus - 23 Creepy Facts About Gary Ridgway: The Green River Killer

00:0000:00

Ridgway's slayings began in 1982, when young runaways and prostitutes began disappearing from state Route 99 in south King County, Washington. He brought many of them to his home and strangled them, then left them in woodsy, remote sites. The first few bodies turned up along the now-notorious Green River. Dubbed the Green River Killer, Ridgway eluded the law until 2001, when King County sheriff Dave Reichert, the first officer assigned to the case in 1982, called a meeting to re-examine evidence using newly developed DNA-testing technology. The analysis produced a match between evidence from the victims and Ridgway, and he was charged with four counts of aggravated murder in December 2001. Ridgway eventually pleaded guilty to 48 counts of aggravated first-degree murder. Here are 23 creepy facts about this killer.

Case 41 - Part 2 - The Death of an Icon : Marilyn Monroe

00:0000:00

Marilyn Monroe (born Norma Jeane Mortenson; June 1, 1926 – August 5, 1962) was an American actress, model and singer. Famous for playing comic "dumb blonde" characters, she became one of the most popular sex symbols of the 1950s and was emblematic of the era's attitudes towards sexuality. Although she was a top-billed actress for only a decade, her films grossed $200 million by the time of her unexplained death in 1962. More than half a century after her death, she continues to be considered a major popular culture icon. In the following decades after her death several theories have been introduced to contradict suicide as the cause of Monroe's death, including murder and accidental overdose. The murder speculations first gained mainstream attention in 1973, and didn't stop there... so what really happend to Marilyn Monroe??

Case 37 - The Death of a Ghost - King of the Delta Blues : Robert Johnson

00:0000:00

According to legend, as a young man living on a plantation in rural Mississippi, Robert Johnson had a tremendous desire to become a great blues musician. He was instructed to take his guitar to a crossroad near Dockery Plantation at midnight. There he was met by a large black man (the devil) who took the guitar and tuned it. The devil played a few songs and then returned the guitar to Johnson, giving him mastery of the instrument. This was a deal with the devil mirroring the legend of Faust. In exchange for his soul, Johnson was able to create the blues for which he became famous. Johnson died on August 16, 1938, at the age of 27, near Greenwood, Mississippi, of unknown causes. Several differing accounts have described the events preceding his death. According to one theory, Johnson was poisoned by the jealous husband of a woman with whom he had flirted. Johnson had been flirting with a married woman at a dance, who gave him a bottle of whiskey poisoned by her husband. But....when you start looking into this case, it doesn't add up. Did Robert Johnson really make a deal with the devil? How did he really die? Where is he buried? These are just some of the questions that surround the myth and the legend of Robert Johnson.

The police had gained entry into his top floor flat in Alderney Street, Pimlico at around 16:40. His family believe that crucial DNA was interfered with and that fingerprints left at the scene were wiped off as part of a cover-up. No fingerprints, palm-prints, footprints or traces of Williams's DNA were found on the rim of the bath, the bag zip or the bag padlock. A key to the padlock was inside the bag, underneath his body.
